We are storytellers

We tell tales of romantic beach picnics, kid's birthday parties and Tuesday dinners. We shop for the perfect veggies, edit photos and build sets. We love cracked tea cups and putting food on old forgotten tables. Because we understand it's all about the details. It's all about the beauty of light and tiny spoons. Our mediums are lenses and cake frosting. We live in the land of make believe that is communicated through creating appetite.

Depth of Field is a hands on food photography and styling workshop held in the Hill Country, west of Austin. The attendees will spend three days creating editorial food stories. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin a portfolio or add to an existing established portfolio.  We will be creating beautiful images that all attendees will have full access too.  Depth of Field will be providing all food and props for the shoot.  We encourage you to bring tools you like to work with.  Photographers will be required to bring their cameras.

Location is only an hour away from both Austin & San Antonio airport. We recommend looking for lodging in Blanco or Johnson City. Both towns offer adorable B & B's, cabins and house rentals on Airbnb. If you need assistance with transportation or lodging, please let us know. We will begin coordinating groups closer to the dates of the workshop.

The beautifully maintained Williams Creek Schoolhouse built in 1897 is where we will hold Depth of Field. Can't wait to shoot in the beautiful light.
